"Ume-zome" is created not from the plum blossoms themselves but by boiling the bark and branches of the Japanese plum tree (Ume). While the plum blossom heralds the arrival of spring with its fragrance the dye from its wood produces a warm reddish-beige or soft brown hue. This color embodies the resilience of the tree surviving the harsh winter—a subtle earthy elegance that pairs beautifully with the Japanese aesthetic of simplicity.

3. 染め方の方法について
本キットには、初心者の方でも安心して取り組めるよう、詳しい手順書を同封しています。
基本的な流れは、煮出した染料に生地を浸し、媒染（色を定着させる工程）を行い、水洗いして乾かすシンプルな工程です。
ご自身のキッチンで、植物の香りに包まれながら色が移ろう時間をゆっくりとお楽しみください。
4. Care Instructions for Your Finished Piece
- Washing: Wash separately using a neutral detergent in cold or lukewarm water to prevent color transfer.
- Drying: Natural dyes are sensitive to UV rays. Please dry in the shade to preserve the hue.
- Aging: The color will settle and the texture will deepen with use. Enjoy the natural shifting of tones as part of the unique beauty of living colors.
4. 染めた作品のお手入れ方法について
- 洗濯：色移りを防ぐため、中性洗剤を使用し、冷水またはぬるま湯で単独洗いをしてください。
- 乾燥：天然染料は紫外線に繊細です。色あせを防ぐため、直射日光を避けて陰干ししてください。
- 経年変化：使い込むほどに色が馴染み、風合いが増していきます。自然な色の移ろいを「育てる」感覚で愛用してください。

- The final color result will vary depending on the fabric material (cotton, linen, silk, etc.), thickness, dyeing time, and temperature.
- Slight color unevenness is characteristic of hand-dyeing. Please enjoy these unique marks of authenticity that cannot be replicated by machines.
- Please be cautious of potential shrinkage when dyeing delicate natural fibers such as wool or silk.

- 仕上がりの色は、染める素材（綿、麻、シルク等）や生地の厚さ、染める時間、温度によって異なります。
- 手染め特有の「色ムラ」ができることがありますが、機械染めにはない手仕事の味わいとしてお楽しみください。
- 天然素材（ウールやシルクなど）を染める場合は、縮みにご注意ください。
